High-throughput imaging assays using zebrafish - a model organism for human disease

Zebrafish are a useful model for drug development because of their high biological similarity to humans.

There have been a multitude of human disease models developed in zebrafish such as:

  •     Metabolic syndrome
  •     Xenotransplantation of human cancer cells
  •     Circulatory disease
  •     Central nervous system disorder

In this note we show several examples of how high-content imaging assays can be used to investigate these disorders.
